Join me online this Tuesday or Wednesday morning for some great Therapeutic Yoga classes! Here’s what I’ve got on the menu for this week:
Tues. June 25th – 9:30-10:45am
Neck Repair Class
Do you get neck pain? Headaches? Jaw stiffness? Pain in the top of your shoulders, or between your shoulder blades?
If your answer is yes, this class is for you! With over 20 different muscles, 6 major ligaments, and the 7 most flexible vertebrae in your spine, the neck represents a highly evolved and extremely versatile movement structure. However, as it sits at the top of the structure of your body, it also represents the area most highly affected by posture, injury, misalignment, and compensation. They say that 1 mm of misalignment at the foot can cause up to an inch of misalignment at your neck! In this class we will stretch and repair the fascia of our 20 something neck muscles, learn to release common trigger points for pain, headaches, and jaw tension, AND we will learn how to help our neck improve it's alignment by addressing key areas below the neck that most affect it's ability to find balance and ease of movement in it's position at the top of the body supporting our head!
Wed. May 26th – 9:30-10:45 am
Happy Feet Class!
The foundation of our body, our connection to the Earth, our system of support and mobility, our feet are some of the most complex and incredible structures of our body! With 33 joints, 26 bones, over 20 different muscles, 107 ligaments, and over 200,000 nerve endings, our feet are some of the most sensitive, mobile, and adaptable structures of our body!
With so much capacity available at their fingertips (or should we say toetips?) then, why is it that most people can't wiggle their big toe, move their little toes, or walk comfortably without a pair of shoes?
In this class we will discuss the evolution of the human foot and learn to understand why as a species our feet are de-evolving in modern society. Learn how to reconnect your nervous system to your feet, repair and improve the fascial and musculature continuities which are essential for bipedal locomotion, decompress your joints, strengthen your feet and ankles, and discover how our feet can both regulate our electromagnetic field while decreasing inflammation throughout the entire body.
**This class will be beneficial and safe for ALL foot and ankle related injuries or conditions.
