Since class was cancelled i did the LOW BACK RELIEF. CLASS in Library. Wow, such a difference right side to left in side bend over bolster. Laying on my left side right leg on top, my left shoulder was more guarded than other side, lifting my upper body higher, needing an extra pillow to raise my head higher to allow my right leg to lower more.. interestingly enough, the guarding actually exascerbated the letting go of right leg , and my right illiacus, and the guarding of shoulder and neck spiralled its way down to my right hip. As soon as i let go of left shoulder and let it drop i could remove one of my pillows and let my head drop too and my pelvis and illiacus was able to let go more which lowered my right leg even more. So the culprit.. FEAR. And EGO. Shoulder lifting up in order to help lower right leg actually and tensing up the entire lateral line and spiralling around at pelvic crest to mid sacrum .
Lesson, pay attention to compensation, FEAR and EGO.
Fear and ego to perform so that right leg reaches floor, created more tension in left shoulder as it guarded and raised up upper torso of body which made my neck and head need 1 more pillow and did the opposite of my goal, itcreated more illiacus strain and ql strain. As soon as i dropped and relaxed my shoulder my head could be lowered more and my legwas able to lower a bit more, not totally reaching floor but enough...
